Dive Computers. The first dive computer was built in 1959. The difference between that machine and the modern computer is the same as between black and white TV and 3D TV.
Older devices are safe only for the first dive. The risk of multiple dives DCS grew exponentially. Modern computers identify external factors. The deep decompression stops, breathing gas mixtures, risk factors-diving type of yo-yo dieting, the profile of "saw-tooth" for a rapid ascent, the diver hypothermia and too much physical effort.
Why should You have a computer?
We have all diving parameters in one place.
We simulate tissue nitrogen saturation in diver.
We have a warning for high-speed ascent.
We calculate the surface interval and time to secure air travel.
Dive tables are still the basis for planning the dive before diving. If someone is lazy or have an aversion to mathematics, you can download the software for smartphone-Apple or Android. We will calculate all the parameters for multiple dives.
What kind of computer- in console or in the hand?
Absolutely computer on hand-for security reasons. In an emergency, we have provided a depth reading and ascent. Serve your partner octopus and control the buoyancy of the surfacing. I just do not have a third hand to operate the console.
Important-dive computers dive improve safety, but not a substitute for careful planning, assurance and good sense.
